For those of you who haven't heard from us in a while, we got married on June 30, 2007 here in Chattanooga. The following January, we bought our first home... eventhough it was a bit of a fixer upper so we didn't move in until almost March. Then a year later, on April Fool's Day of this year, our life changed forever. We got a puppy.
Amanda had always wanted a Schnauzer, since that's what she grew up with and since they don't shed. We had searched the area over for a dog we could afford since we were ready for our family to expand. Late one Tuesday night, Anthony, Amanda's brother, found a dog online that needed a home ASAP. So we called at 10pm, I know crazy huh, and made arrangements to meet the following night before church to meet the little gal. Her name was Bella... and from the minute both Amanda and Daniel laid eyes on her they knew she was the little one for them. Born just before Christmas, she was only four months old and had her puppy breathe to boot!
The crazyness began the minute we brought her to nanny's to stay during church... she doesn't get along well with nanny's dog Banjo, nonetheless they are "playmates" while we are at church on a weekly basis. Here are some funnies that happen when she's around:
- She barks at her shadow in our kitchen door.
- She gets in running fits around the house.
- She pooped on Nanny one Sunday morning before church.
- She plays with the cheapest of toys: plastic cups, used dryer sheets, and ice.
- She licks the bathwater off you while you are in the tub.
- She likes to wear dresses and be rocked like a baby. (No jokes folks.)
- She likes to brush herself by laying her, or my, brush down on the ground and thrusting her head at it full force. It's really funny because it looks like she is having some serious spasms but she really just wants a good brushing.
Well that's all I can think of at the moment... look for more blogging later. I've decided to do this while Daniel works on homework.
